if i see another fawning picture or statue of that mass-murdering piece of shit churchill i believe i will vomit.
i saw on youtube recently a talk by the controversial (to 'the media') historian david irving (from essex--whahey!) called something like 'the real churchill', almost unbelievable. for example he provoked the germans so much to attack london, he would wring his hands every day as he scanned the horizon. 'where the devil are they?' finally they did bomb, killing many. excellent!! to war!!

Winston Churchill in 1919:
"I do not understand the squeamishness about the use of gas. I am strongly in favour of using poisonous gas against uncivilised tribes."

Winston Churchill in 1937:
"I do not admit ... that a great wrong has been done to the Red Indians of America or the black people of Australia ... by the fact that a stronger race, a higher grade race ... has come in and taken its place."

Linh: Thanks once again for the learning experience! Except for reading quite a lot of 20th Century Japanese literature, I have little knowledge about the Orient. In contrast to the stark slab (usually war worship) memorial on display at Scranton Courthouse Square, this picture & its commemoration of honorable people indicates a higher level of civilization.

Regarding O.'s contribution (above) on Churchill & the fate of Native American Indians, in particular those who inhabited the Plains states, I find it rather disturbing how American kids are indoctrinated about Lincoln's higher morality, emancipation of slaves, while conducting simultaneous military extermination of Sioux, Cheyenne, Arapaho nations, etcetera.

(Note: In 1866, the 10th Cavalry, a "negro" regiment, commanded by whites, arrived at Fort Wallace to combat insurgent Plains Indians. The boots-on-ground troops were called "buffalo soldiers" by the Indians from a resemblance of their hair to that on the heads of buffalo)

Also, as you know Linh, when in the US, Pope Francis mentioned Abraham Lincoln as among the greatest Americans, his two others were MLK and Dorothy Day. Were he not dead, & if asked, Winnie might have subtracted Dorothy & Martin, & added William Tecumseh Sherman & W. Bush to the Pope's list.

Thank again for the education, you can mail me a tuition invoice, but... good luck.

Linh: Excuse me, before retaliation, above, I made haste & meant to say "a SLIGHTLY" higher level of civilization than that on display on Scranton Courthouse slabs. Danke.

yes, lincoln. for starters one should read gore vidal's 'lincoln'; though i've only managed about a third of it, i can imagine, knowing vidal.
americans, like everyone, 'need' (according to you know who) their mythological figure heads, their sacred 'founding fathers', from that otherworldly time (somehow just 200 years ago) when all grown men wore wigs. these men were hardly men, more demi-gods (or was is -johns?), who knew exactly what was needed to form a new country (how--by the five nations, of course, who they liberally stole from before murdering), and not only that, but they could also foresee all future problems, predicaments, squabbles.... but never mind READING them, where you will quickly see their humanity and warts. best to read ABOUT them, by hack propagandists like, i don't know, george will? there you will find their empty, mount rushmore-like busts and profiles, so solid, so upright, so godlike. statues, statues, statues, we need them for to live

x-Larry: Writers like George Will enjoy Mount Rushmore standing with Zionist Supremacists in the US Congress. When Netanyahu prepared to address Congress on Iran's absent nukes, & to the consternation (?) of Obama administration's propaganda spin, the MSM tried its best to pass the word (to American consumers) that Bibi was Winnie statesmanship-caliber.

Also, I trust people will remember the historical pictures taken by Linh Dinh of AIPAC fanatics in swag attendance at Netanyahu's address to members of the bought-off US Congress a few months ago? I especially liked the one where a dame was depicted throwing the finger at Linh's camera!
