Hi, Linh. I'm at a Raging Granny Un-convention.

I cannot tell from your email what is going on. I'm so stupid. I never wondered about your status as a "foreigner" in the U.S. Arrogance of the colonizer. Assuming everyone who is here in the metropole is there because they should and want to be.

Hi Linda,

The email is a scam to extract at least $420 from someone outside the USA. Further along the process, the dupe will probably be asked to give his/her bank info too.

The scammers are clearly not Americans, for we wouldn't write an address as:

Rochester Avenue. Portsmouth 35004

Where's the state?

We also don't put a period after signing our name:

Grace White.

The scamming email is also weird in tone and ungrammatical, as in:

You will first issue your visa through the U.S Embassy in your home country or country of your present resident with your Visa Acknowledgement Certificates and interview appointment letter which we will processed and send to you through official post.

No applicant can "issue" his/her own visa. "we will processed"?!
