My 15 year-old son was perusing your State of the Union site photos (especially those from Harrisburg, since he has quite a bit of family there...although he actually lives in Dillsburg).
This particular photo struck him as the perfect example of stupidity in advertising...LOL! We loved it. He actually saved the photo for use in one of his "current events" activities at school. (He attends Northern High School in York County).
I showed him (over Skype, since I'm in Texas) the autographed copy of "Love Like Hate" we received from you (my husband is now reading it).
My son, impressed, promised he would cite your State of the Union URL and make sure you're credited for his use of this "The More You Shop the More You Save" photo. I was, like, "You better!" We hope this is okay.
Thank you, as always, for everything! (I thought the photo of the empty Guinness bottle amongst naked twigs was amazing. I wonder if the drinker enjoyed it warm...)
I'm very glad your son likes the photo. Of course he can use any photo he wants, as many as he wants.
Media, PA seemed rather affluent, with fancy bars and restaurants downtown, though I did see a handful of poorer looking apartment complexes. The Guinness litter was telling, since it was Guinness and not Pabst Blue Ribbon or Colt 45.
