This photo was taken in May in Berat, but in my senility, I forgot to post it, so here it is.

Bus station cafe. The extensive menu featured even exotic items such as "Pica Meksikane," "Ekstrem Burger" and a savory crepe with chicken stir fried in soy sauce. When I asked for spaghetti carbonara with mushrooms and bacon, the lady indicated it wasn't available, so I settled for the very basic chicken souvakli, but that too wasn't on offer. It turned out there was only "oriz" ["rice"], she said, and a beef stew, which she showed me by tilting a big pot. Both rice and stew were excellent, however, and very cheap. Four free slices of bread came with my meal. With a soft drink, I paid just $3.20.
