From this bunker, Hezbollah could clearly see the Jewish position on the next hill, so they would fire a quick burst then run away, to not be destroyed by the returning bullets, missiles or bombs. Although everything around this bunker was repeatedly smashed or incinerated, it somehow survived, miraculously. Frustrated, Jews tried to burn up this entire hill, but the fire was put out by an almost-unheard-of August rainstorm, another miracle.

Although the Jewish position was only 1/3 of a mile away, they couldn't locate this tunnel, so they offered a $1 million reward to anyone who could point it out to them. Although there were thousands of Hezbollah fighters in the immediate area, no one snitched.
