The owner of Perla Oriental came from Guangdong 15 years ago. Here, she's talking to multi-lingual Jonathan Revusky in Mandarin. In Mexico City, we ran into some Russian tourists, so John spoke to them in Russian. Living in Barcelona, he is perfectly fluent in Spanish, of course, and he's fluent in French.

23-year-old Oscar Cortes in El Rinconcito on Pedro Ascencio Street. Here, a bottle of Indio was only 12 pesos, the cheapest I encountered in Mexico. Speaking to John Revusky and me for over an hour in very good English, Oscar told us about his beliefs and dreams. He is a poet. "I can die for poetry."
