He's been in Vietnam for nearly three months, all of them in Saigon. Due to some technicality, he couldn't leave via Moc Bai, but will have to fly out. This was supposed to be his visa run. Saad and I joked about Marseilles, how it's filled with Arabs and black Africans. "I have 15 cousins there!" Saad said.

Since he was turned back, I said he should visit nearby Tây Ninh. He should also get out of Saigon. It's so insanely congested. Coming from a country that's mostly desert, maybe Saad enjoys Saigon's density.

Brit on no money YouTube challenge across Asia. He started in Chiang Mai, so has made it across Thailand and Cambodia. He begged from restaurants to eat, and has even been given money. It's a new trend for First Worlders to beg in Third World countries. He told me his last name was Cottle, but I can't find his YouTube channel.

Finally back inside Vietnam! In Saigon, I paid just $8.25 to ride in a car to Vung Tau. This morning, I found a very nice room in a great location for $247 a month, but I won't move in until January 1st. In that apartment I will stay at least six months.

Since I entered Vietnam by land, I'm only allowed a one month stay, however, so I will get out soon, then fly back in so I can stay three months. For this next trip, I'm thinking about Taipei, Manila or Singapore, or I can make it simple and comfortable by returning to Cambodia.
