I can't even comprehend what's happening here. I'm not saying it's weird. It's one thing to give away a TV, but the notice, especially "don't knock the door"...

Reminds me of my family's old 19-inch Panasonic cathode ray tube TV (w/o remote), which was still in good condition when they (not I, since I wasn't around to prevent it) chucked it in 2002 after 16 years of service. My only hope was that a passerby picked it up and took it home to be used for a few more years before LCD TVs became the norm.

Not even Panasonic makes stuff that reliable anymore. The emphasis now is on planned obsolescence.

I guess that's an apt metaphor for the state of the world today.
