I arrived in San Jose in 1978 and have returned many times, so I've seen it changed tremendously. There is so much money in the South Bay now and many of the people are so smug, but their bubble can't possibly last much longer. I talked to an old friend who denied there was even a drought.
Hey linh--did you by any chance go to San Jose High? My sister was an ESL teacher there from around 1975 to 2000. She fondly remembers all (well, most of) the Viet kids she tried to mentor.

No shortage of subjects in the South Bay, eh? Hope your family has weathered the storm. --Gordon

This isn't going to end well, is it?
Hi Gordon and Swza,

P.S. There were two huge tent cities in San Jose, one by the airport and one near Little Saigon, but they have both been cleared.

No, Andrew Hill, and only for my freshman year. I also spent a couple months in Redwood City.
