Sex education continues to be abysmal in these United States. It would appear that large numbers of people, perhaps the majority, still know little about basic mammalian biology, let alone specific human sexual function. Confusing gender -- the social constructs we create for women and men -- with biological sex seems rampant, including forms which ask one's gender rather than one's sex. Is it that the word SEX still makes people uncomfortable? I am a biological female, but I generally do not do gender, whether feminine or masculine.

In the current enthusiastic embrace of transgenderism, it should be required that people tell you what they specifically know about the ingestion of cross-sex hormones, the plastic surgeries, and, most horrifying of all, giving children puberty blockers. If they are ignorant, they need to educate themselves rather than preening themselves for their liberalism. Are people aware that in Iran sex-reassignment surgery (SRS) is considered the proper treatment for homosexuality? We're not quite so blatant here, but feminine boys and masculine girls are now considered trans rather than the gender-nonconforming children they are. A woman commenting on a story about Jazz, the transgender teen, wrote, "Wait until she gets her period!" Jazz is a biological male and will never have a period, but meanwhile his parents are making lots of money pimping him as a reality star.

Most transgender males and females do not have "bottom" surgeries. Females have their breasts removed and males have fake breasts implanted, but most males do not want to get rid of their penises and few females can afford the complex and difficult surgery of a phalloplasty. When males do have bottom surgeries, their penises are turned inside out and are inserted into a surgical cavity to make what is supposed to be a vagina. The body, of course, sees this as a wound and tries to heal it; these men have to dilate the wound to keep it open and the resulting hole is often filled with bacteria, pus, smegma. Actual female bodies, of course, are a little more complicated than a hole -- no surgery creates the complexity of a clitoris, most of which is internal and not visible, a self-cleaning and healthy vagina, and certainly does not include a cervix, uterus, and Fallopian tubes.

Many transgender supporters also know nothing about what is termed autogynephilia. Old-style transsexuals, most of whom were feminine gay boys, did not threaten women who object to men in women's restrooms, locker rooms, sports teams, shelters, etc, with beheading, rape with a chainsaw, and murder of their children. There is a new class of transgender males who are often middle-aged or older, married with children, right-wing in political perspective, often ex-military, who fancy themselves as young, beautiful women in order to satisfy their sexual fetishes. Their self-perceptions are comic (if not downright horrifying) to say the least, as one does not wipe out 30 or 40 years of testosterone and its effects on body and face structure.

Search online for gender-critical websites, detransitioning websites, and medical information, including basic biology. An interesting place to begin is the website of this transsexual physician.
