Hi, Linh. Next exit--after Brexit, you mean? Wonder that myself. Linda

Hi Linda,

That's just a goofy billboard I happened to see while walking through South Philly.

As for Brexit, I responded to a friend:

"Unlike in the US, UK elections are by paper ballots, so there's no cheating through the voting machine. This alone makes me happy.

"The UK breaking from the European Union will lead to other countries doing the same, and this is great news because the European Union and NATO are nothing but tools of the global ruling elites. Nations should have control of their own destinies.

"Scotland should break from the UK.

"After the Orlando incident, I wrote a piece predicting Trump for president, and this Brexit vote has given him another nudge. In the end, though, it's not Trump who will decide anything. He does serve as an indicator of the mood and sentiments of this country. I've called him the most visible sign of a revival of white nationalism."

Here are Michael Hudson, Pepe Escobar and Ron Paul's responses to Brexit.

Dmitri Orlov writes:

"In that referendum, the older generations who know which class they belong to voted to fire their malign overlords in Brussels and London, while the younger generations, brainwashed by EU propaganda, did not. Some “experts” claimed that there is some sort of generational divide, but I think that older generations did a smart thing, and that this is adequately explained by the fact that they are smarter. You see, fools tend to die young, and the mere act of surviving is a sign of intelligence. But that’s just a minor side-point."

Thanks, Linh. I had read Hudson and Escobar, but not Paul (which was very good also). Here is another one: Margaret Kimberley's Freedom Rider column on the subject -- http://blackagendareport.com/good_news_about_brexit

Excerpt: "Despite its well cultivated image of progress and enlightenment the European Union is not a bulwark of peace and international cooperation. It acts as America’s 28-nation gang of enforcers, as it impoverishes Greece, or tears Ukraine in two or bribes Turkey to keep the desperate refugees they all had a hand in creating. But the EU nations are also victims of American power. The United States is the invisible senior partner of the EU, making sure that it keeps the international banksters well funded, expands NATO and makes certain that no one steps out of the American orbit. Angela Merkel may want to end sanctions against Russia, or allow Greece to exit the Eurozone but both requests were dead on arrival because Washington opposed them. "
