Do you ever talk with Americans who are in denial about the situation in the US? Basically everyone I know pretends like things are just slightly inconvenient here, instead of admitting that these are the terrible times and events that make history books so interesting.
Nearly all the Americans I've met overseas are in denial about the situation in the US. The academics I met in India recently, for example, or the man from Denver who thinks there are plenty of jobs in the US, with the increasing number of homeless simply not interested in working.

Hi WayWay,
Nearly all the Americans I've met overseas are in denial about the situation in the US. The academics I met in India recently, for example, or the man from Denver who thinks there are plenty of jobs in the US, with the increasing number of homeless simply not interested in working.
