Half a grilled chicken, shoestring fries and bottle of Coke for $7.64 at Grill Addicts. Mozambican chicken with peri-peri sauce is very popular at this end of the continent.

Hi Linh?
That looks great. Curious if there is tipping, and tax, on meals in Southern Africa.
This is in Windhoek, Namibia. In South Africa and here, you're expected to tip at least 10% if it's a full service restaurant, but at Grill Addicts, you order at the counter, then have your food brought to you. Still, I tipped 10 Namibian dollars, or 64 cents, which was fine. Many people at a place like this don't tip.
Here and in South Africa, you pay exactly what's on the menu, so if there is tax, it's already included.
Oh come on, Biff, the chicken is grilled, so it's healthier than KFC, but I must admit, I'm a fried chicken fan... KFC and Hungry Lion are the fried chicken chains here. There is always a line at each.
I’m also a big fan of grilled chicken. Gai Yang, as it is called in these parts. The real winner is a food stall in down town Chiang Rai run by a couple of Muslim gays that deep fry a marinated chicken with cucumber salad, and yellow rice. So good it leaves you speechless.
I'm starting to think about going to Thailand. Just cough up the quarantine fee to be allowed in, unvaccinated. I'm hoping, though, that Covid rules in that region will relax in the next few months.
What are you doing in the Golden Triangle, man? If you're in the poppy business, do you need a partner? I'm sick of being a standup comedian.
Hey, if you can get in without the vax why not give it try. The quarantine may suck though, but honestly, I don’t know much about it cause shit changes so often. No, I’m not in the poppy business, as there is no more poppy’s around here - the CIA moved out in the 80’s and took their habits with them. I’m just a retired property manager, but do come on over, I could put you up and show you around. Travelers hint: Avoid April - I suddenly just realized you’re Vietnamese, so scratch that stupid hint…

Not gays but guys. Big typo there.
