Thanks a lot, Jerry. He had his mouth closed, but I wanted to show his one tooth, so I said, "You're looking too serious!" So he cracked a smile. A very sweet and gentle man, he said the next time I'm in the neighborhood, just ask for him by name, since everyone knows him.
It took me 26 years to return to Savannah, so I don't know when I'll be there next. It is such a beautiful city, one of my very favorites in America.
