Well, this allows me to travel, so I have more to observe and report. I'm in Luang Prabang, and will take a bus to Dien Bien Phu in a few days. I was there in 1995, and am almost afraid to see the changes. The lessening of poverty is certainly a positive development, but I'm just hoping its beauty and serenity are still relatively intact.
