Optera comments after

my latest:

When I finally emigrated from super-violent armed madhouse America several years back, I experienced a wave of creative inspiration. This rainy, dank island of Ireland had ancient ghosts hidden under every mossy stone, and these endless rivers and streams hinted at enchanted creatures nearby. Fast-forward to today and my mind is again filled with bombs, and war, and mass murder, and strident political craziness. Turns out the old joke about the USA was true: "the only thing worse than living in America and being subjected to its domestic policy, is not to live in America and being subjected to its foreign policy."

Clearly, the USA, and UK, and Israel, and the entire West, will never willingly allow anyone, anywhere, a moment of peace. It's like having a cop's bullhorn implanted in your skull, barking frenzied orders and warnings and instructions at random times throughout every day. Contemplation? Verboten!

I once hoped to make meditative films like Bresson or Ozu. Now? I just want that cop to finally shut the hell up that I might die peacefully by some old Irish river, perhaps while remembering a fragment of some poem I read, or maybe even wrote, long ago.

Living in the vicinity of various different Hill Tribes who often give birth in their living room, record no birthdays to remember, and obtain no government certificates(birth or otherwise), and no assigned tax numbers - so in essence, there is little in the way of government framework of authoritarian control. I understand ‘Optera’’s frustration with his predicament. Soon(every Sunday 16:00) I’ll meet with local western expats(mostly European) for our weekly round table over a couple beers, and there always is one consensus we agree on - nobody wants to return to their respective western liberal democracies.

Running never solves anything. One needs to stand ones ground and fight. Losing is nothing. It is part of living. Once one starts running it is difficult to stop, as there is nowhere to hide. Runners will never be free. They are the truly enslaved. The only thing they earn is pity and shame. Quitting is the ultimate failure. Life is abrasive. It will either grind you down or polish you. Shame on you.

"Running never solves anything .."

Are they running, or changing sides?

Running often solves innumerable problems. America is a country full of runners. People who fled Europe created what was once a very prosperous and healthy society.

Pretending to be tough sounds great, but it's not the optimal solution to every problem. Often times time itself solves issues. Instead of fighting you can just remove yourself from a situation and wait.
