Suddenly, Philly's Kensington is world famous, but much of the rest is also a shithole:
Like all YouTubers of this genre, they only drive through these neighborhoods. I walked them. At least they aren't like the stay-at-home loudmouths who casually call other countries shitholes. Go to your nearest American city and spend two or three hours walking.
The title of this video, "PHILADELPHIA'S MOST VIOLENT AREAS," is also extremely misleading. I know all these streets and they're far from Philly's most violent. Either this chump doesn't know where they are or, much more likely, he's terrified of just driving through them, even during the daytime.
In Philly, if at least two thirds of the houses are occupied on any block, then it's relatively OK, even if the neighborhood is a shithole, so the title of this video should be, "PHILADELPHIA'S OK AREAS."

You must not have watched any of his other videos. CharlieBoi313 is from Detroit and walks around these areas in every big city around the country all the time and interviews gangsters waving their guns around. He has videos where he's standing in parking lots while fights and shootings break out and stuff like that.
Hi WayWay,
No, I haven't seen those videos, so I'm wrong about the dude. He's being very misleading by calling this particular video "Philadelphia's Most Violent Areas," though.
Though I've visited Detroit several times and have walked its streets, I clearly don't know Detroit as well as this YouTuber. He, on the other hand, does not know Philly as well as me and many others.
At YouTube under this video, there's this comment:

"I’ve been living in Philly for 7 years and I can definitely tell you, these are not even the worst neighborhoods 😔"
Though she has few reasons to roam around exploring places where she can be raped or killed, she knows what's shown in the video is tame for Philly. Because I tried to walk through as much of Philly as I could, I saw way more than she has. I was also a housepainter who worked all over the city.

I think those video titles are just clickbait. Also to be fair, it's really hard in towns like Philly to really tell the difference between kinda bad and really bad areas if you're not from there.
Honestly I wouldn't walk around most of Philly. Last time I was there I stayed with friends in Fishtown which wasn't bad relatively, but also had shootings and drug addicts everywhere and was not "safe". We'd ride bikes around Kensington just to see the urban decay which aesthetically is very cool.
Overall Philly seems like a city of ruins and walking dead. The best people I saw there were the insane sports fans who'd be the worst people in many other parts of the country.
