This family has only been in Vung Tau a year. They used to live in Saigon's District 2. Once semi rural and dirt poor, it has been heavily gentrified in the last 15 years, so is now Saigon's most cosmopolitan and affluent, with many of its best restaurants. These people, then, were some of the last of the poor to be chased out.

The baby is seven-months-old. His mom sells drinks and tailors clothing. His dad traps birds to sell. He also makes beautiful cages.
