You are in some way an echo for me of the American poet Vachel Lindsay. I enjoy and am informed by your words, pictures and analysis of our urban ills and ironies-- Lindsay saw the shrinking of the rural landscape but found an energy in the new urban energies as too Sandburg-- are you finding small , yet vigorous energies that may lead somewhere among the blight?
Thanks, Marcus. I'm astounded by the resilience of the people I encounter on the streets. Though I fear the anger and violence to come, I also think people will learn to be and work together as they rediscover their surroundings. With worsening poverty, we won't be able to avoid each other...
