For the next month or so, I won't be posting as much because I need to spend a lot of time preparing a book of photos and writings from this blog. I have a publisher interested. Ideally, I'd like a book of at least 180 photos, plus 100 pages of text, not all of which have appeared on State of the Union. If I submit the manuscript by January, the book will come out in Spring of 2013.
I've been reprocessing many of the photos, so if you return to the older images, they do look better, I swear!
I wish I had started this project earlier than 2009, because there are so many American places I've been, Missoula, Olympia, Portland, Ashland, Madison, San Jose, Santa Fe, El Paso, etc., that I have no photos of.

Most books take even longer! The publisher will have to edit and layout my book, then send it overseas to be printed. It'd be too rushed to schedule it for the Fall.
