Around 11AM on 12/11/11. This was my first impression of Occupy Raleigh, and it wasn't very positive. Fortunately, I'd discover that most of the Raleigh protesters are not this sullen or standoffish. Having visited Occupy protests in NYC, Philly, Atlantic City, Washington DC, Orlando, Savannah and, now, Raleigh, I can report that this movement has attracted hanger-ons who have absolutely nothing to say. In fact, they don't even want to communicate with anyone. If you don't want to broadcast, or even to be seen, how are you a protester?
