I spent most of yesterday showing South Philly to my friend Dale Smith, a poet visiting from Toronto, and when we hit this stretch of Grays Ferry, Dale said, "This reminds me of Yemen!" Dale spent 1 1/2 year in Yemen as a Peace Corps volunteer.
