Notice the logos for Pennsylvania Steel and Bethlehem Steel. One company left town long ago. The other went bankrupt. "Roller Country" refers to steel rolling.
Similarly, Gary is still called Steel City, although its steel mill, once the world's largest, only has 1/5 the number of workers from its heyday decades ago.
