Linh, what do you think they mean by "The man who knew"?

Hi Cine,

John P. O'Neill was a high ranking member of the FBI, in charge of counter terrorism. Before he was pushed out of the FBI, he charged that the Bush administration was stifling the bureau's investigation into terrorism to protect the Saudis. He thought that this had to do with oil. He thought that because of our reliance on Saudi oil, Bush didn't want to expose the Saudis' connection to terrorism. After he was pushed out of the FBI, he became head of security at the World Trade Center, and so was killed there when the planes struck.

His office was on the 34th floor and, like everyone else, he didn't know the towers would implode, so he didn't think his life was in danger as the first plane hit between floors 93 and 99. He made two phone calls from there, to his son and a friend, to say that he was fine.

So O'Neill knew enough to be better dead than alive, especially after the attack, as he would have a much different interpretation than the bullshit the government has been feeding us, which fewer Americans believe all the time, though too many, way too many, still stick to the idiotic propaganda. Keep in mind here that O'Neill saw contradictions in our government's effort against terrorists even before this epoch-changing attack, and he was the FBI's leading expert on terrorism.

The "The Man Who Knew" here is certainly suggestive, but still vague enough to not piss off those who go ballistic at any suggestion that this government is made up of lying criminals. This little "Man Who Knew" plaque was placed on a bench opposite the official 9-11 memorial, and is not officially a part of it.
