Though this billboard is in Camden, Michael Hagan was actually killed in Philly, a block south of South Street. A popular spot for tourists and people coming in from the suburbs, South Street has become a magnet for trouble in the last few years. First, there were the violent flash mobs, then several shootings, the latest just this weekend, when a New Jersey man was killed. It all began with a brawl inside Mixed Plate. This joint started out as simply a Vietnamese fusion restaurant but the nightly intake was apparently not enough, for it has morphed into a hip hop nightclub on weekends, with a $10 cover charge after 11PM.
