I have moved the original contents of this post, about my Hatchfund fund raising campaign, to the top of the page, but I'm not deleting the post itself, since I want to maintain the comments. Besides a very kind note from Roxan, thank you!, the rest is my exchange with Jim Stix, who tried to hide his identity while abusing and slandering me. It's not only unfair to attack someone anonymously, it is also immoral, but Stix is not someone who worries about this, since he even pretended to be a newcomer to this blog by saying this was his first time here. Someone so angry, volatile and hallucinatory is bound to do anything, and that's why I was forced to make his name public so that he would be shamed into silence. This didn't quite work, since Stix then flooded this blog with half a dozen more comments which I had to delete, since I didn't want to spend time to counter his lies. If I continued to argue with Stix, I would simply feed his insatiable anger, something he clearly enjoys. These comments are also a public record of this man's unhinged hostility towards me, his target du jour, and I sincerely wish they won't have to be used as any kind of evidence in the future. This is the second reason why I had to make Stix's name public. Stix lives in Philadelphia.

Please sign your name the next time, so I can at least guess who I'm talking to. What a lovely person you are.

Linh, you do beautiful work. I am also a writer and artist. Sorry I have no money to send, but a friend of mine traveled the world with nice places to stay using couchsurfing.org. Most places people gave her a room and showed her around. It beats sleeping on a bus.

Hi Roxan,

I hope you didn't left the first message, but if you did, you do have a very peculiar sense of humor... Anyway, I launched this fundraising so I don't have to always post photos and stories about PA and NJ.

As a kid, I spent a year in Tacoma and two in Salem, then later, I taught for several months in Missoula, Montana, so I do have some familiarity with the Northwest corner of the US. Being up there again for this project would certainly be instructive for me, at the very least.

Anyway, do you have a webpage or blog so I can check out what you do?

No Roxan did not leave the first message.
Why would anybody want to give yous money just
so you can cross the country and take pictures of people inside another bar?
How the fu.k is that instructive?
This is my first and last time on your blog so
Good luck to you confidence man

Sorry, Roxan, for even suspecting that you are the person above! And though he leaves no name, I'm guessing this is someone I know, for he's always angry, often uses "fuck" and has even been committed into a psychiatric ward after a fight with a neighbor. His rage is boundless, and I truly fear he would seriously hurt someone someday.

If this is you, man, please do as you say and don't visit my blog again. Please do leave me alone forever. Thank you very much and good luck with your life. You rage at me for wanting to travel for my project, but I think you yourself can use a temporary escape from your current environment, and from your head too. Since you have a lot of money, take a long trip and go overseas, perhaps, since you have never done that. It can only help.

And after you threatened your friends a few months ago with a chair and your drunken psychotic violence in your favorite bar and you refused to apologize for being a raging maniac and they banned you for life, maybe you should have been put into a psychiatric ward, for impersonating a person who cares about what other people think. Bye hypocrite fraud. Hey, is that you wife I hear calling your name ?

The world needs more pictures of jesus statues and posters and run down churches, so go for it dude. Take more pictures of stupid religious shit.
It might help with your contributions from all the worlds bleeding heart liberals.
Confidence man.

Listen, man, you're really losing it. I know exactly who you are and I don't need you to rave any longer. I have absolutely no animosity against you, but this is my blog, where I feature the work that I do. If you can't stand it or me, please just leave, OK?

Linh Dinh said...

P.S. I do not threaten anyone, least of all with a chair, and it's you who are displaying psychotic behavior. You really need help, man, and please don't take that as an insult. Since this exchange is becoming truly bizarre, I will end it right now.

Linh Dinh said...

To everyone,

I apologize for the above, and though it is very distracting, even disturbing, I won't delete the exchange, since I have never deleted any comment on this blog unless it is spam.

Besides, the angry raving of this individual is also indicative of this place and time. Though he makes baseless charges against me, he won't even reveal his name, but I know exactly who he is, and I will warn him right now:

If you leave another menacing comment on my blog, I will expose who you are, for you have no right to hide behind "anonymous" as you abuse and slander me.

Linh Dinh said...

I have just deleted two comments from Jim Stix, since I don't have the time or energy to deal with his deranged raving any more. Jim Stix loves to argue so much, he will take over this blog with his insane raving, and that's not what any of us needs.

Linh Dinh said...

To prevent Jim Stix from flooding my blog with his angry and absurd accusations, I will temporarily set the comment section to "moderated." With his unmatched stamina for hatred and personal attacks, this man may go on for hours, if not days, if he's not stopped right now. He's targeted many people before, and I am unfortunately his aim for today. This man's rage gives him pleasure and empowers him, but I don't want to waste any more of my brain cells on this individual's sick self therapy. I have work to do. Again, I apologize to everyone for this preposterous distraction.

Yo Jay,

Surely you mean "maniac magnet"? If you hang out, you will run into all kinds, but most people I encounter are lovely, and I'm totally serious. To flush this Stix nonsense out of my system, I went to Kensington yesterday and ducked into Jack's, where a small pitcher of Yuengling is only $3.75 (and a cheesesteak is only $4, though I've never had one there.) I went to Jack's to connect with a saner and sweeter humanity, and I was not disappointed.
