Hi Michael,

I do feel very sorry for families who've lost their loved ones, yet do not know exactly what happened. Also, the POW-MIA issue is most commonly associated with the Vietnam War, but it has been an unsolved question with many other American wars.

Yes, modern wars always produce MIAs. That's part of the trick here, isn't it? To blame the enemy for war itself?

Also, what about the "MIAs" created by "our troops," not to mention the POWs we are holding without trial? I guess I just smell hypocrisy and Rambo here.

Also, it seems to me that this particular trope makes acceptance of war its premise. I'd like to see an MIA flag with rich guys sending grunts off to war.

I agree with empathy for the families who lost people, on any side.
