Yo Linh, June 5, 1999, along with my former professor & friend, Dr. Njegos Petrovic, I participated in the protest march on the Pentagon for N.A.T.O.'s "barbaric" bombing of Yugoslavia. While there, I saw an elderly lady protesting, in an assembly between Potomac and the Pentagon,& wearing a hemp dress. As you noted, she looked like a noble lady out of Greek mythology, with Janis Joplin wardrobe.

Wonder if she's the same woman whose depicted in your picture? Will show you the photograph when you return to Taylor. Wish you & linky well!

Yo Chuck,

I'd think that it wasn't her, since Concepcion is in front of the White House nearly all the time. (Occasionally, she goes to a friend's house to wash up.) Concepcion is tiny, less than 5 feet tall.

Linh: The elderly lady I saw in June 199h was short, and I believe she looks like the gal in your picture.

I have little to do tonight and I am mailing you the picture of her, and one including the-late Njegos Petrovic and I at the 6/'99 protest march. After working 10-years on Roadway Express dock as a Teamster, in 1982, I enrolled at the U. of Scranton, and took Dr. Petrovic's course, "Legacy of Greece and Rome." We remained friends until he died of cancer, I was pallbearer.

As young man Njegos bounced around Belgrade with Albert Camus and played baseball with Fidel Castro. These days, I drive school bus past his grave in N. Scranton, on daily basis.
