Last night outside the Convention Center, about 100 people protested Netanyahu's visit. We could see congressmen and senators going in to kowtow to Bibi. Roughly two thirds of the protesters were Jewish. There was singing in Hebrew and a bit of dancing, including Jews and Palestinians dancing together. Some AIPAC members engaged in shouting matches with protesters, and a few gave us the finger.

Linh: Shameful how almost all US Congressmen who do NOT kiss Benjamin Netanyahu's ass, and with Sheldon Adelson's financial support, get beaten?

A couple weeks ago, I read how Netanyahu sinisterly referenced the "grassy knoll" as related to Obama's diplomacy with Iran. Thanks for displaying the excellent photo (1-frame) of principled Jewish protestors of Zionism outside D.C. Convention Center.

Your picture really TURNED my head and reminded me how, thanks to Abraham Zapruder's camera, JFK's skull flew backward upon limousine trunk, and "grassy knoll" based-trigger fingers were thrown toward the Book Depository Building.

Loved how AIPAC supporters tossed middle-finger your way, their gesture was a perfect touch of "win, wink, nod nod" confident dishonesty. Frankly, however warlike and servile is President Obama, I fear for the positions he's staked in opposition to Netanyahu & Co.

what fantastic photos! what hideous, shameless, unfeeling people. glad to see the jewish protesters. israel makes me sick. so glad i'm not one of those smiling, well off little mealy mouths.
on a related note (everything's related in our lovely worldwide SYSTEM), finally got around to flipping through the Observer newspaper today that we found on the bus on sunday (the british paper)--i never buy and almost never look at any of the big rags. one full page article with giant photo of kremlin had the title as follows: In russia, oppostion activists are deemed traitors, working to destroy the country. Is that why boris nemtsov was killed in kremlin's shadow? and subtitle: The russian media and president putin are violently hostile to any challenge to the state. That intolerance has helped end the life of another opposition figure, reports shaun walker.
my favorite part: 'violently hostile to any challenge to the state'. can you imagine anyone seriously challenging the american state?
also, saw a horrific documentary on donbass, ukraine. here's link to article and documentary.
