Cupertino-High-School--Cupertino

Average SAT score is 1832 and it's not even the best public high school in Cupertino. By comparison, the average SAT score for South Philadelphia High, the one closest to me, is 1045. Cupertino is 63.3% Asian, and the star of Cupertino High's basketball team is 6'4" junior Ajaypal Singh. He's averaging 17.5 points, 6.5 rebounds and 1.7 blocks per game.

sorry to keep making little comments, but must here.
growing up i thought all asians were just naturally the smartest (whatever that meant). my high school's valedictorian and salutatorian (what stupid terms) were both asian, a lee and a chang--so possibly both korean, certainly lee.
when i arrived in seoul the first thing i noticed, and it was a bit shocking, was car garages where all the grease monkeys were koreans, and other lowly type jobs like street sweeping. in my very lowly state now i can hardly differentiate, other than between full bourgeoise, partial bourge or working class (those making minimum wage generally). the most interesting are usually the low lifes.
by the way, linh, strange to find espn using your work, complete with salesman voice over (ok, it was more Macho Grizzled Writer voiceover, but definitely didn't ring as your own voice, which they should have used). the usual vanity fair/gq type of article, very long and in-depth, which they can never somehow manage for stories that are actually important. cheers
