probably not. you can't be a good father in this hell system. but the real problem is never supposed to be addressed, you're only supposed to worry about your own indivual patheticness--am i a good father, not why does 1/10,000th of 1% own the whole world, and why am i and everyone else a slave in their motherfucking (literally) shitty system.
They address an elite audience; one that manages affairs or people in some way and isn't plagued by worries about increasing rents, precarious work conditions or low wage which you can barely make a living with. This is the audience that is the most susceptible to propaganda and gladly accepts, spreads and fights for the official government line. To them, globalism and capitalism in its neoliberal flavour are like laws of nature – you do not question them the same way a sane person would not question the four laws of thermodynamics.
One is supposed to muse about spending too much time at work in order to be a good father, but not about the reasons why long hours are a necessity in an age where productivity has gone through the roof. You are also not supposed to wonder who is to buy all that extra stuff produced in the age of minimal wages and austerity, when working time remains unchanged. A sane person would produce as much as there is needed, however capitalism seeks to maximise profits, so the solution lies in finding ever new markets abroad in order to dump one's stuff.
There's no such thing as infinite profits and productions on a finite world with limited resources. Privileged people know that too and thus their solution is to deprive more and more people of basic necessities so they still can fix their addiction to profits, power and privilege. Don't worry, these advertisements seem to suggest, it's being worked on. Muse about extra property purchases or hiring workers whilst a worldwide corporate coup d’état dressed up as "free trade agreements" like TTIP, TPP and TISA takes care of the rest and gets rid of hostile regulations at national levels worldwide.
this guy reminds me of someone i know, down to the down-pat thinking pose. what's he thinking about? himself, of course! (and maybe how many hot chicks will be volunteering on the obama campaign.) the low-lifes that rule our lives... high school never ends! high school never ends!
