Clothing store--Johor Bahru

Notice all the shoes and sandals outside the store. In Vietnam in 2001, the last time I was there, those would be stolen.

When the film, To Singapore with Love, was banned in Singapore, it was shown to Singaporeans in Johor Bahru, just across the causeway. There are several buses that constantly go back and forth, including a city bus.

The Singaporean immigration control can be a bit of a pain in the ass whether you're coming or leaving. By comparison, the US doesn't care if you walk into Mexico, and the Mexicans barely give a damn. At Juarez, there is no document check and all you have to do to enter Mexico is to pay a quarter, though if the Mexican guard is asleep, you don't even have to do that. Leaving Mexico, you're also docked a quarter.

Coming into Singapore you may end up dealing with a burly/surly Sikh, I did. Also, both Singapore/Malaysia stamp your passport with, "death penalty for drug trafficking", makes you feel so welcome...
