In Germany, kebab joints are ubiquitous. In Poland, they, and Vietnamese takeouts, are much rarer. In the three towns I visited, there were many fewer restaurants, period. I walked all over Wegliniec (pop. 3,009) but couldn't find a single eatery or bar to eat or have a beer.
