Thanks for a $50 contribution from a regular donor in Salem, OR!

OK, I'm just about out of here. Flight at 2:30PM tomorrow. After a couple of layovers, I'll land in Philly at 11:04PM. All of my replacement camera gear should be available by Saturday. Thanks to all for everything.

One of my best memories of this extended stay in Europe was the visit with Mark and Jolee Zola in Burgazada, Turkey. That was a magical day. On the island, there were all these wild dogs chasing the wild horses around. The cemetery was at the highest elevation. Jolee said, "We're going to be there!"

It is incredible that such a vibrant and beautiful country is at the heart of so much turmoil right now.

(I still have a backlog of Kiev photos, which I'll upload later.)

Linh, Well, we're very surprised and pleased to read that you so enjoyed your time with us! Of course, for us it was great to meet a writer and thinker that we've admired for some time, so we were thrilled that you could make it to our home. We hope you make it back to Europe before too long and you are of course more than welcome to come back for another visit, good beer, and most of all, stimulating discussion. We're still dreaming about the great pig meat you brought us from Germany and from which we desperately had to fight off the dogs. Take good care of yourself and have a safe trip back to Philly.
