Coffee seller in Svyatoshyns'kyi District--Kiev

I had some business to take care of, so haven't been blogging. I can't shoot anyway since my memory cards haven't arrived yet. I'm going to upload some Kiev photos, then.

Welcome back Linh. I like this guy's set up - cafe pickup truck. I'd like to be able park one right in front of the Starbucks in my wealthy USA city to get some of that foot traffic, but doing so would probably result in heavy penalties. The public would be confused too, so that might mean a terrorism charge, since confusion is best left to those with the proper authority.

Food trucks can be a great hustle, you may have read about the fierce competition down on the DC Mall. One lady makes her living, she was saying she would lose her space if bigger business interests prevail, since they are always trying to crush the smaller competition. It's a battle to make scratch everywhere man.

Hi jac.bane.sr,

Like you, man, I'm a huge fan of these tiniest businesses. In Kiev, these little coffee trucks were all over the place. In Vietnam, though, people would sell hot food from two baskets slung from a pole, but as Vietnam modernized, these vendors have been chased away from certain neighborhoods. I have no doubt, though, that as the global economy collapses, we will see many more tiny businesses. They are definitely the future.
