Workers' motrobikes at plastic recycling plant--Ea Kly

Workers' motorbikes, and one bicycle, at our plastic recycling plant. Though they're mostly old and beat-up, at least they're motorbikes.

At lunch today, all the workers went home to eat. The two nearby eateries charge 85 cents for a meal, as in Saigon, but the quality is inferior, so coupled with the lower wages here, they find few takers, usually.

At a cafe just now, I was asked if we're still hiring, and the answer is no, unfortunately. All of our workers are already trained.

Two weeks ago, I was feted in Japan and using heated toilet seats. Here, it's eating on the floor and taking cold showers ladled from a bucket. It's all good.

Last night, all of Vietnam watched as its soccer team went ahead, 2-0, over Malaysia, only to concede a draw, 2-2, at the end. Too many wasted chances.

Vietnam, considered the better squad, is ranked 100 in the world. It has worked very hard just to be able to say, "We're number one hundred!!!"
