Colonial era architecture was magnificent everywhere, thanks, primarily, to its marriage of East and West. Even this modest, run down example in Saigon is very nice. Although Singapore tore down much of this heritage, what remains is well preserved. Malaysia has thousands of beautiful buildings from this era.
