Hi Astra,

It's called an ao dai, which literally means "long shirt." When I was a kid, it common to see women on the streets wearing an ao dai, but now, about the only ones to have it on are highschool girls, and they wear a simple white ao dai, like here

And here's a little girl with a red ao dai at a Saigon shopping mall.

The women in the photo have slightly unusual ao dais, so I said to a woman in their party, "The ao dais are different over here [in Laos]."

She replied, "They're modern ao dais!"
