This is Scranton's famous Hotel Jermyn, Spruce Street, opened 1903. Was a hopping place during Speakeasy days and plentiful, semi-policed, and both pricey/affordable "Whore Houses" were accessible.
Is now Senior Apartments, rent based upon personal income, and tenants are left with just enough to get by.
The two guys in Hotel foreground are residents. Both never vote, the gentlemanly black guy said, "We are too old for that stupid stuff." Guy to left nodded in agreement.
Then I inquired, "Do you have an opinion on the Coronovirus epidemic?"
Again, the black man was spokesman, he said, "Sheeet man, they 'wanna kill as many old people as possible so they could stop paying their Social Security checks."
"Yea, man, I know where you're coming from, and thanks for the education."
