Notice the New Kainang Pinoy store on the right. There are over 30,000 Filipinos in Lebanon. Most are women working as maids. Lebanon's worsening economic crisis has made life difficult for everyone, much less these maids.
Capital control has been imposed since last October, so Lebanese only have rationed access to their own money in the bank. There are scheduled electriticy blackouts each day. The gorgeous beaches are emptied of tourists. Inflation is over 100% and rising. It is dire.
Jewish fighter jets fly over Lebanon with impunity, but usually high over the clouds, so you can only hear them. Used to this, locals don't even look up.
