Bivol also has a special message for his native country:
Today I would like to express my gratitude and respect for the people of Kyrgyzstan. It was there in the city of Tokmak that I was born and started boxing!
Throughout my boxing career, I feel the support of fellow countrymen from Kyrgyzstan. I want to express special gratitude to President Sadyr Japarov for his attention and congratulations addressed to me.
I promise my countrymen that I will definitely come to Kyrgyzstan as soon as possible and pay tribute to and love for the place where my journey in this world began!

Me thinks Kyrgyzstan is it’s own country, and not Russian. So what gives?
“Ethnic Kyrgyz make up the majority of the country's six million people, followed by significant minorities of Uzbeks and Russians. The Kyrgyz language is closely related to other Turkic languages. 90% of the population is Muslim.”
Yo Biff,
Bivol emigrated to Russia and lives in St. Petersburg. The airport scene is in St. Petersburg. The woman who greets him is his wife.
Linh
Thanks, that explains it.
