Linh, I really get depressed seeing so many common people in Cambodia, Vietnam, etc. wearing clothing with American memes and slogans. I know, I know, many of the people do not even know what the wording on their T-shirt says; it was put their by the makers of these apparel, who are presumably somewhat rich and therefore yuppified. After suffering death, destruction, and racist hatred at American hands for years, it is amazing how much these people are now looking up to America as the land of life, liberty, and happiness. Propaganda, optics, and "Hollywood reality" trump "Real reality" it seems.
