My host family's house. It has no door, much less lock. The opening in the fence is blocked by four bamboo rods that can easily be slid aside. Most of this house's occupants actually sleep outside at night, on a platform overlooking the Mekong. It's cooler there, and mosquitoes aren't a problem on these islands. I've been bitten twice by some other insects, however.
