I got conned, drugged and robbed yesterday, and not by a Lao or Vietnamese, but someone claiming to be Turkish. He sure looked like an Indian, though.
Indians regularly pass through Pakse on their way to Cambodia. No tourists, they're hoping to reach North America by ship from Cambodia. Pakse is a stop for this human trafficking ring.
I know of at least one hotel here who will turn away all Indians.
Besides the largest sum I've ever lost from one incident, I also lost my camera cords, though not my cameras, thankfully. Without the cords, I can't upload photos. I'll get new ones soon, but I'm exhausted today, so will take it easy.
I have no concrete proofs against my scammer, drugger and robber, but the circumstantial evidence is strong. I'll write about this episode.

Damn! That sure sucks. I had my pocket picked once, and I know the ‘empty loss’ feeling one gets - “I’ll never see that wallet again”.. But drugged too is a sucker punch - a total low life maneuver. Get well soon.
sorry to hear that linh
