Man, woman and child sleeping outside by Mekongn on 10-24-23--Kracheh copy

I'm assuming they're rural people in town to do something. Never saw them before and haven't seen them since.

Say Mr Dinh
Do you ever start to question the germ theory of disease when living in Asia?

Linh Dinh said...

No, I haven't. From experience, I believe in contagious diseases. Is that what you're talking about?

Thanks for your reply
I used to unquestioningly believe that microbes were the cause of illness.
But if you think about it the theory is full of holes
If microbes cause disease we'd all be dead.
Microbes are all over the place
I put my contacts in my eyes every morning for decades
I know that my hands are not sterile.
Yet I'm not blind.
This doesn't make sense.
I don't know if you've seen the below study before, but it sure raises lots of questions
Also keep in mind that evil microbes make one of the best boogeymen to sell snake oil
There's a lot more to question, I don't have time to do that right now.

Also, I mentioned Asia because it appears that germ phobia is not as prevalent there as in the USA
