From the sidewalk, I could only see the very top of this dead casino, but it intrigued me enough to peek through a gap in its gate. This gap was only big enough for me to stick my hands and camera in to photograph. There were four barking dogs inside, however, and I was worried the gap was wide enough for a dog to squeeze through. As one poked his head out, I gave the gate a hard kick, so all the barking dogs backed off. As I was photographing, the security guard entered the frame. Though he did his job by telling me to go away, I got my photo!
