Baluts, oysters, okras, fried tofu and a bottle of water for $5.31, a better dinner than usual. I needed to treat myself well today. A folder containing drafts of nearly all my self published books disappeared, inexplicably. I do have PDFs of them all, and all but one have been published at Amazon. Still, I wasted more than an hour reconstructing this book in progress. Years ago, my computer caught a virus when I was uploading photos of a protest outside an AIPAC meeting in DC. My book in progress has a long piece, "Teaching Mein Kampf at the University of Tel Aviv." There are better ways for someone to fuck with me, though, so I don't know what happened with my disappeared folder.
