All of the patrons of the Lion's Den were black, except me. The owner was an Indian-American. Been in North Charleston since 1982, he ran for city council a few years ago, but did not win. The governor of South Carolina is Nikki Haley, of course, an Indian-American. This bar owner carries four passports, of India, the UK, New Zealand and the US, and has traveled to 53 countries. Housed in a former car repair shop, this bar has no draft beer or air conditioning, but does feature pool tables, a juke box, TV, video and casino games, and every two weeks, there's a DJ, but no one under 30 is admitted on those occasions, "The young crowd is nothing but trouble." The statues are from his previous business.
