Never been, but it seems the chance of being pickpocketed or a victim of any crime is less there than perhaps any city in Europe, including the upscale neighborhoods and suburbs, though Asian cities are said to vary considerably on petty theft. Supposedly Japan is one of those places where petty theft is considered extremely dishonorable.
