I had walked around all morning, so was tired, plus I needed a place to write, so I decided to pop into the cemetery, with the intention of using a grave as my writing station. As I was about to sit at one, however, a man and his daughter stopped their motorbike and looked at me at me with suspicion. Walking away from that grave, I just grinned at him and said, "Just looking around!" It turned out to be his father's. Approaching it, he said, "Hi, daddy!"
Then I found this grave of a child who had died at birth, and on his or her grave, it simply said, "NO NAME TRƯƠNG," with Trương his or her last name.
Though this baby didn't live a day, his or her grave is still visited often, as is evident by the many joss sticks.
It was getting hot, and I was getting very thirsty, so I skipped the writing at the cemetery idea and went to Mr. Trang's cafe, about seven minutes away. Luckily, it was quiet enough for me to begin writing. Mr. Trang even asked me to stay for lunch, but I told him I had to go home.
